The Moscow Times is reporting that MMA fighter Yulia Berezikova is joining a group of Russian celebrities to establish a movement that aims to forestall popular uprisings in the country. All street movements, all color revolutions lead to bloodshed, and children, women and the elderly are those who primarily suffer, said organizer Dmitry Sablin. We have come together so this does not happen. The movements name, Anti-Maidan, refers to the gathering in the main square (called The Maidan) of Ukraines capital of Kiev that eventually led to the overthrow of the pro-Moscow President Viktor Yanukovych. Russia and Ukraine have been bitterly at odds since, with Russian media portraying the Maidan Movement as a Western-inspired attempt to undermine their traditional sphere on influence. Berezikova will be joining the arch-conservative blogger Nikolai Starikov, leader of the biker gang Night Wolves Alexander the Surgeon Zaldostanov, and others.
