The Māori Community Development Act is currently undergoing public review for the first time since its introduction in 1962. Over the next 3 weeks there will be 20 Public Consultation Hui across New Zealand providing the Māori community with and opportunity to give feedback and have their say on the Act and community development in general. Written submissions can also be made by email or freepost to Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry for Māori Development.
