The New Year is upon us here in the West Coast that is. Wouldt it be wonderful if this year we Jews came to a conscious decision, after realizing that the 20 year old old patterns of compromise/negotiations/concessions with the Arabs has failed utterly and miserably, and that now is the time for us to adopt a new paradigm, one of winners, rather than losers? Where we demand what we want for our needs to exist, in security and without terror rather than always being told what the Arabs want, and must have. In other words, we Jews in unified manner, demand our God- given rights to life, and to live on our lands, all of them including Judea and Samaria. Of course we wont get it from the Arabs, but why not at the very least demand it- rather than just accepting the status quo or worse, giving up? Our self dignity is worth everything in this world. What has happened to the fighting spirit of our leaders, remember the Bible stories, the Maccabbees and other great Jewish warriors. Or the great fighters in the War of Independence, and the 67 War? Since OLSO, we have had been on a downhill slide of negotiations that have weakened us diplomatically and politically, and now economically as well, (this last war) and we have had plenty of practice of compromise and appeasement, and we know too well where it has gotten us. Human rights are universal, and the ugly fact is the Jews are being held to a different standard, a double standard , which is a form of anti-Semitism. In this last war with Gaza, we were expected to fight a vicious war with one hand behind out backs. We have been given a different rule book, like no other nation on the globe. For the New Year, lets turn over a new leaf, and demand our political and human rights to be treated with the same respect. If we are shunned by the EU with BDS and UN resolutions, and more US State Department condemnations, then at least we know where we stand, but we continue to demand it regardless, and refuse to do business with those who cannot see us as equal partners, in trade and foreign relations. We must stop all negotiations with Obamaleks State Department, and all mediations with them and the Arabs. The State Department condemnation yesterday regarding a few Jews purchasing property (their perfect right by law) in E. Jerusalem is enough to disqualify him or Kerry or any of other officials from the State Department from mediation or negotiations with Israel. Barack Obama is behaving as if it is illegal for Jews to live in Jerusalem!!! I bet if someone, college student, statistics major, researched it we would discover the US State Dept under Obama has issued more reprimands and condemnations against little tiny Israel than any other nation in the Middle East. Israel can legally demand that Hamas pays the 9 billion cost of war inflicted on the Israeli people. It is called war reparations. Because Hamas and PA are linked and the PA has run interference diplomatically for Hamas, Israel is perfectly justified in extracting reparations from the PA and Gaza in the following matter: 1. Seizing a large percentage of the one billion dollars in customs revenue which Israel collects on behalf of the PA. 2. Charging a tariff or reparations tax on all good entering or leaving Gaza. Charging a similar tax on goods entering or leaving PA territory. 3. Collecting immediately the electric bill and if the PA -Hamas wont pay it, shut off the juice until their backers rush to pay the bill for them. 4. Charging a large surtax or penalty tax on very kilowatt of electricity delivered to the PA- Hamas-Gaza. Israel now faces tax hikes and budget cuts to pay for this war which did serious damage to its economy costing the military billions of shekels. Israel should not suffer tax increases and budget cuts. Those problems should be laid at the feet of Palestinians. Israel is perpetually on the defensive. It is time to go on the defensive. This demand for reparations and our power to collect them allows us to seize the initiative, punish those who support war against us, including the enemy population, and provides us with justice and dignity. This policy has another advantage, it will be wildly popular in Israel. In fact it is the ultimate unifying issue. If you are a leftist and believe in social justice this policy of reparations advances your goals. If you are a rightist, likewise. This could be the rallying cry lets take the cost of this war out of the Arabs hide.
