The Piqua Arts Council (PAC) continues to gain both visibility and momentum following a highly successful year. The past year witnessed the Arts Council’s Annual Art Show, their participation in the Ohio Watercolor Society exhibition at the Piqua Public Library, Dancing with the Piqua Stars fundraiser as well as their collaborative sponsorship of the Rock Piqua! concert series. During the PAC’s annual meeting on January 13, Executive Director Jordan Knepper indicated the PAC has undergone numerous changes within the past year with the board of trustees, adjustment of meeting schedules and realignment of committees. President Chris Schmiesing suggested a shift in board responsibilities occur in order to allow the executive director to manage programming and events. Knepper, he added, has successfully completed the Academy of Community Leadership at Edison Community College and assumed new responsibilities as requested by the board.
