The Role of the Nation State in Addressing Global Challenges: Japan-UK Perspectives was held October 2-3 in Tokyo, Japan, with sessions on various topics, including Disaster Management, Fukushima, and Myanmar. This conference is part of the UK-Japan Global Seminar series, a project supported by The Nippon Foundation and The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and run by Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs based in London. The Nippon Foundation Chairman Yohei Sasakawa, who is also the Special Envoy of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation in Myanmar, was a panelist for the Myanmar session on Day 2.
