The Signaller Despite the sound of gunfire, bomb blasts and the screams, The wireless still needs operating, to pass orders to the team, There sat the brave young Signaller, with headset resting on his brow, relaying the commanders messages, telling the Soldiers Move Now Into the breach he moved with the wireless in his pack, constantly reporting as the enemy attacked, although the noise is deafening, the signaller persists, to send morse code back to HQ, using the key upon his wrist, dits and dahs are blasted out and rapidly returned, the Signaller transcribes each transmission and the tactical advantages are earned, without communications, orders cant be passed, forward to the trenches or rearwards to top brass, Our Signallers should be cherished, for they deliver the messages of war, Without them we would struggle, but with them well move onwards, Swift & Sure! Certa Cito!!!
