The Society has launched its new strategic plan summarising our ambitions and priorities for work from 2015 to 2020. Professor Dorothy Miell, Society President, said: “This plan has been developed through two stages of consultation with our membership and staff. Our aim in developing the new plan is to ensure that over the next five years all members and staff at the Society can see which areas of work we’re prioritising and how we plan to support, communicate and deliver on those priorities. The plan is structured around six headline priorities which emerged from the consultations as the most important goals for the Society over this period. We will be focussing our support, funding and organisational efforts on making progress in these priority areas and we welcome the contributions our members can make to helping us achieve these goals. A key part of the strategic plan is about measuring our progress towards achieving our ambitions. We will review progress regularly at Trustee meetings and report to members both through the various member networks and, formally, through the Society’s Annual General Meeting and Annual Report”.
