The States Developmental Football League, in association with the SFLShowcase would like to announce the two organizations global partnership. This partnership opens the developmental football pipelines from the USA to Central Europe! The SDFL will outfit the SAAF with players and coaches for the next 3 years. SDFL athletes and coaches will be hand picked to participate during the 2015 - 2017 SAAF seasons. A partnership like this gives our coaches and players more of an opportunity to build their professional resume, make money, and see different countries! stated Garrick Jones former NFL / CFL player and Commissioner of the SDFL. The SDFL wants to give our coaches and athletes as many opportunities as possible to take their careers to the next level. Jones also went on to add. Athletes and coaches stateside can submit their resumes and register on the official SDFL website. There will be a total of 6 teams in the SAAF. These teams will be the Ostrava Steelers, Zvolen Patriots, Nitra Knights, Trnava Bulldogs, Bratislava Monarchs, and the Zilina Warriors. The SAAF Season starts in May of 2015 with an 8 game schedule. Two of the 6 teams will compete starting in March of this year giving them a total of 16 games. Each team will be allowed two import players with the possibility of a third depending upon the teams structure.
