The Steamboat Rock Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking candidates for the position of Library Director. The Director will work with the Board and be responsible for the overall management of the Library. Duties include but not limited to the following: planning and organizing all activities of the Steamboat Rock Public Library, cataloging materials and attending monthly board meetings. Prior knowledge and experience in a library setting is preferred. Candidates without prior experience must be willing to meet the State Library of Iowa certification requirements for library directors within two years. Candidates will also have excellent computer skills. Candidates must be able to maintain good public relations and work well with all age groups. Expected start date is September 16, 2013.
