The Suspect It is a real life horror movie With a theme song of sirens as the background music There is no wake up But plenty of snooze buttons The victimized rushing back to sleep Too many lessons learned on being weak Some appear to love to live in this nightmare Walking cowards no bravery just scared Toting guns is their new claim to fame Fools be be like that dudes rule about as real as Fake reality tv You know You been watched With a high chance of been shot by cops Despite this The shots don’t stop Black male life gets cheaper every day We have been duped into thinking life is this way Our future shouldnt have to be a game hopscotch We are considered suspicious when we walk In barely washed away bloody body outlines We are out of time, things are not just fine Life expectancy gets surpassed with each breath Leaving the house is a race against death Many adapt to breathing good and drinking harder In my neighborhood beer is cheaper than water So boosted up ego’s shine bright on dark hills There are living decoys pretending to be real A chalk outline of truth traces where this shouldn’t exist We know our neighborhoods are hot it dont even have to be summer we pay attention to gun shots It might be someone close to us crying No!! not him, he was a good.. Victim Better hope you out of range and they have bad aim Zig zag zig zag twice when you run as a matter of fact dont run, just drop cause if you can hear the echo of the pop pop pop you aint been shot , YET we are stuck in an endless game A Life of hide the cry and numb the pain Everyone is it, Hiding places are few or far away When so many are out to get you every day Im not amazed when others treat us like suspects We tear down instead of expect the best with respect It surprises me when I am treated like your brother Deep down, we been taught to suspect each other.... #BlackOnBlackLove
