The Tango place was awesome. But I already said that. So waking up to a glorious day, while having my morning hot cup of tea out in the front garden, I was blinded almost by the reflections from the Jerusalem Artichokes that are stock from my mothers garden in Michigan. Back then there were few places to purchase plants, so folks shared what they had. Fast forward, if you will, from 1950s to 2014. Big box stores, K-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot have developed with savvy nursery folks an almost unlimited live plant enterprise. Every planting season one is certain to find new exotic varieties. Apparently I have developed the correct soil and location for the Jerusalem Artichokes. When these plants bust out into bloom it is as if my mother is gleefully exclaiming on their beauty and gracing my garden with an element of her presence.
