The Tuesday Session; A welcome to a few Newbies, new type of training for you. At least once a week, change your pace to fast/slow. The fast bits to be faster than race pace, possible because you get a rest/recovery after each fast bit. By-Pass Group, 6.15; 10 reps; 1min, 1.30, 2.00, 2.30, 3.00 TWICE with short recovery. Its these sessions that got your coaches Niall + Barry PBs in Dunshaughlin so theyll work for you also. Riverbank Group 6.15; 1 X 400m, target faster than race pace. 1 X 45secs fast, 6 X 1min 40 with 45secs recovery 8mins fast up, slow down on short hill, with varying turnaround point. 1 X 400m to finish, target one second quicker than the first one. Riverbank Group 7.00; A welcome to some from the 6.15 group as we step up training together. 1 X 400m 9 X 2mins 10secs with 1min recovery 1 X 400m Another tough week next week then we can ease back for races; Club races to aim for; Dunleer 4 Mile Road Race 13th July, pre-enter at precisiontiming.net Louth Track Championships 17th July, 22nd July, Pop Up Races, 5km, Dromiskin, full details to follow. Chipped event, accurate course, €5.00 entry. No club training this night. Carlingford 5km road race 01st August, pre-enter also at precision Blackrock 4mile road race 27th Sept. For NERd Stephen Carroll Memorial Cup, full details to follow. Every Saturday 9.30am at Oldbridge, free 5km park run, YOU MUST REGISTER AT WWW.PARKRUN.IE, race entry is free and covers ANY park run around the world. Track training, 05th July, Bush, 10.00 - 12.00, €1.00 per club member, €2.00 for guests. Other notable events locally, Annagassan 10km, Green 5km, Blaney 10mile, Monaghan 10mile.
