The UNC Pakistani Student Association, alongside the UNC Asian Students Association, firmly stands against the claim made by the Students for Fair Admissions on the ground that applicants are deterred/denied admission on the premises of ethnicity and/or race. All students that attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill do so based on their qualifications, not their ancestral background. The accusation made against the University is -- how the ASA Statement puts it -- far-fetched. The grounds on which students are given/denied admission are strict and it is highly unlikely that a qualified student would be denied admission based on his or her ethnicity.
