The University of Glasgow is the Fourth oldest University in the English speaking world... sounds prestigious right? Here I sit, actually trying to do real homework, and every single article I try to access is denied. Wouldnt you think if the teacher hyper-links an article you can access it? Nope, you can go to the library and borrow the only copy for four hours... I can do this for the four articles on the required reading list, and then the further reading has ten plus... Im sick of this. Internet resources that dont work. Course administrators who dont know what classes they do or do not offer. Blaming a system like turnitin for their own tech support/ and facultys inability to use technology? If being in Glasgow has taught me anything. Its that Brigham Young University Idaho is an AMAZING school, with AMAZING faculty, and AMAZING support systems to include online resources and software as well as access to peer reviewed articles. I cant believe these people are actually proud of Moodle, I swear, the internet must have been discovered in the U.K. at least 10 years behind the United States because thats exactly where these guys are at. Even the two community colleges I attended had better resources. Rant is over... :P
