The Wabash Valley College Student Senate is sponsoring a Food Drive from November 4-24 on the WVC campus. They are encouraging club competition as well as individual donations. Donation boxes will be located around the campus for donations of non-perishable items to help WADI. Clubs are encouraged to decorate their donation boxes with their chosen “Superhero.” Clubs will have the opportunity to choose a representative from their club to dress up like their “Superhero” and represent their club at the Warriors basketball game on November 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. and receive donations at the game. Basketball fans are asked to bring items and donate them to their favorite “Superhero.” The club with the “Best Superhero Costume” will receive an additional 50 items to their total, and the club with the “Best Donation Box” will receive an additional 25 items to their total. The Student Senate hopes to invite some friendly competition for a great cause while creating a lot of fun and excitement for everyone. These food drive donations will go to the local Wabash Area Development Agency (WADI) which assists low-income families during the holiday season.
