The White House Community Building and Old Glory Waving over the Fire Station. This settlement began in 1837 in a small log building .Church was held in the first building until 1852 when it burned. Another building was erected on the same site. The Church of Christ that meets here is the longest continuously meeting congregation in the state. The time span right now is over 160 years. Unlike other groups this congregation never missed during the Civil War. This is the church I grew up in and was married in. My family is buried in the cemetery below. The building is also used for various community activities. The fire station was built to complement the stone work on the community building.
