The aftermath of the muster. First full day at home - pain is far worse than at the site. Might be the lack of plum brandy/cider - but I reckon its purely the lack of extremely good company. Still - for the first time in August I have delivered a short back and sides to my smaller lawns. Very wet still, even after a day of dryness. Hopefully the footprints I left behind will disappear later. Still got the grass to sweep up out of the kitchen and re-mop. My house sitter turned up full of apologies for eating me out of cheese and beer - heck - I waved that off - I got in the beer, cheese etc just for him anyway. And my loving Tiger has barely scratched me at all since I got back. The sleeping bag is washed and airing on the line, everything else is washed and drying (in the house - despite the sunshine it keeps getting gloomy out there). The material we bought is more or less dry now - thank god for the maker of bin bags! I have rips to repair, patterns to find - and all I can do is sleep! Alexander is nearly ready for his grooming before being put back in his nest box. Time for as real a coffee as I can make.
