The all white Zambian swimming team which has gone to represent Zambia at the Commonwealth games has caused a stir with some indeginous Zambians calling for more black Zambians. My 2 cents, some Zambians ( White and Black) are extreme racists, Im someone who grew up among all races and racism/tribalism is how some people attack others because they believe that their problems and issues are caused by another ethnic/social group . Theres already a lot racism in the world from whites, Chinese, Indians and any shade of color you can think of. But Ive just got one question. What gives some indeginous Zambians the right to think that they are more Zambian than others? Its pure ignorance to think that if one is Zambian because they are Bemba, Lozi, Tonga, Easterner because almost every other Zambian tribe is also found in other countries! The only people that have a moral right to Zambia are the people of Central Province, the rest of us are no different from anyother race, we all originate from outside of Zambia. So enough with the petty racism, enough with the Indians, Chinese are stealing our bussinesses. Why dont the same people start a bussiness as well? Just because one did not grow up exposed to white, Indian or any other race doesnt mean that they are less Zambian than you. I know Indian and white Zambians who contribute positively and create jobs. These are people who dont sit on their backs blaming others for their failures. Im talking about. Hardworking people who supply all Zambians with your cooking oil, transport, meat, fish, Detergent pastes, sweets. Why dont the same Zambians complain when they eagerly consume these items and services? So if any indegenous Zambian has a problem with this white swimming team, theyd better start training their relatives, friends and whomever else how to swim faster than our boys and girls! For me Im fully behind this team! Go Team Zambia! One Zambia One Nation!
