The attached is a link to the recent FCC Report and Order related to the acceleration of Wireless Deployment and use of public Rights of Way. MML provided formal written comments to the FCC prior to the issuance of their order. We stressed in our comments that MML and its member municipalities strongly opposed the proposed rules as being outside the scope of the authorizing legislation, a threat to public safety, against reasonable expectations of property owners and residents and adverse to the public interest. The League is in the process of conducting a legal assessment comparing the FCC order to recent wireless deployment and right of way legislation enacted by the Missouri General Assembly.
