The attempt at damage control by APC on their earlier submission on the proscription of Boko Haram would not have been necessary if they had demonstrated sagacity in engaging FG on Boko Haram issues. Some things are lawful, but not helpful. There are many Nigerians that are intelligent enough to discern that APC didnt technically mean any harm in the submission, but we are practising democracy, a game of number and not necessarily of merit or intelligence. Many more Nigerians wont take the pains to sieve out erroneous insinuations by the likes of FFK, hence the image of APC as a party is getting more battered in reality. Tact is usually lacking in some of the submissions of APC, and this is a big minus. When it comes to Boko Haram issue, sensibility entails that you bury religious and ethnic sentiment to lean on the side of humanity. It was also very unwise of Buhari to have equated Boko Haram to Niger Delta militants or opposed the SOE declared to tackle the insurgency. These are indelible blunders.
