The basic problem with us is that we interpret Islam the way we wish- the way it supports our views or our moral and social standing. I have come across several Muslims (!) who are extremely interested in fulfilling the Sunnah of marrying four wives permitted in Islam. Is this the only sunnah you are aware of? Or is this a desire you want to fulfill under the disguise of Islam? Are we even aware of the various conditions one has to fulfill before fulfilling this sunnah? Our iman has become so weak and frail that we look towards the west and the worldwide media to learn about morality, ethics and principles but we are so unfortunate that we do not realise that the ACTUAL and REAL knowledge both about this life and the hereafter is enclosed in the book called Quran. May Allah give us hedaya, tolerance and strong will power to become true Muslims and Muslimas.
