The bible tells us in John 15:4 ESV, Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. As I traveled today I noticed how many trees are still left broken having been ripped from the ground by the storms. I saw many branches scattered also having been ripped from the tree that had once given them life. I began to think about the storms in my life and how they too have many times sought to rip me from the vine, stop my heart beat and leave me in scattered pieces in a desolate place. I can not help but weep at this verse that clearly tells us the power of abiding. I will never let go and though the storms of life rage on and the seasons of life continue to change still I will abide in Him and bring forth fruit from the vine💜
