The candidate filing period for individuals looking to run for office in West Virginia will conclude on January 25, 2014. The section of West Virginia State Law establishing the dates for the candidate filing period is listed at the bottom of this page. Individuals filing to run for United States Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, West Virginia State Senate and West Virginia House of Delegates will file to run with the West Virginia Secretary of State. Individuals filing to run for County Commission, County Executive Committee and any other unexpired terms for county level offices will file with their respective county clerk. Officers of the Wetzel COunty Democratic Executive Committee, the Wetzel County Democratic Women and Secretary of State Natalie Tennant will be at Quinets Court Restaurant Tuesday, January 21st at 5:00 if you have any questions or concerns.
