The candlelight vigil was beautiful, respectful and very meaningful. From the PA system, the lighting, the organization, the decorations, the speakers, and even the dalmation mascot (bless their heart, they must have been so hot!) the organizers did an incredible job pulling things together in such a short time. I wish I had gotten a picture of all the ladies and girls sporting purple hair; they were adorable! The super moon made its appearance and became obscured by clouds shortly after the event. Sheriff Joe spoke with the conviction of a true animal advocate- Go Joe! Sterling and Regina gave us a spot to pilgrimage, and for strangers in purple far and wide, to gather as a strong community of dog lovers. As Shannons husband said, much good will come from this tragedy.
