The contemporary politics in Sri Lanka is heading towards a new political culture which is against the universally accepted governing system. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. its nothing new for those who know the global political change which took place in the recent past. Countries such as; Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya have had dictators for a longer period and disturbed the general public of their respective countries and denied to practice the best democratic form of governing system in order to preserve the interests of the rulers. These countries are now under the influence of anarchy and experiencing more domestic and international interference. In the Sri Lankan case we felt and feel the heat of such ruling system.The dictatorial governing system in Sri Lanka seems to have reached to the end point. Therefore, 2015 presidential election will be a massive turning point and it will be marked as a historical event in political affairs of Sri Lanka. People are now demanding for a change and it should happen without any doubt. Let us therefore, unite together as one nation and support to end this dictatorship. Happy New Year 2015 Sri Lanka!
