The day in 2010 where Julia Gillard knifed Kevin Rudd for the leadership was a very sad day for all Australians. This was the day Australians lost the only political power they had. Yes, the power of the people is to at each election have a say in who governs our country or state. This was an example that no matter who we vote for a few powerbrokers can change that in an instant. We were so appalled by that there was a hue and cry across the land. Julia Gillard was never forgiven and her popularity dropped lower and lower with each passing year. The events of the recent days where the Prime Minister was again replaced without an election, confirmed that the people of this country are secondary to the games of the few. To make matters worse we not only have lost this power, we have also lost respect and integrity for what should be the highest and most moral job in Australia and to top that all off Kevin Rudd is now hailed as almost a "hero" or "popstar". What in the hell is this world coming to?
