The day is coming, a day I am dreading. On Sunday I travel to Prince Rupert from my home in Vancouver. Ill be in Rupert for probably a month. I am the executrix of my sister Gerris estate. Ive taken a couple of weeks to mourn the loss of my beautiful sister but now I have to fulfill my duties. I will be cleaning out her house and putting it on the market. Anyone who knows my sister well and what a collector she was knows it will be a monumental task. She knew what was in her home and loved the items she collected so I will enter her home with the utmost respect to her and the things she cared about. Her children will go through the house and gather things theyd like to keep, and then family members will do the same. Once weve done that I will take the rest for a garage sale, donate or dispose of. I know she wanted tents donated to her cancer group, and dishes for the church, and professional clothing items (coats, boots, dress clothing, shoes, bags) for donation. I am hoping to recruit some help in Prince Rupert. I never thought Id have to do this, especially with a broken heart.
