I heard this today (10-25-2013) from a superintendent of public works here in Blackshear, Ga. well Lance, I hope we dont have a runoff this go around with the Mayoral Election. (me) Why is that Donnie? (Donnie) Lance you wouldnt believe I have heard from some other whites in town that we might end up with a black Mayor. I was floored, I rolled up my window and left. He probably thinks I was rude but I could care less and am waiting to hear from my boss about it since the City is a client of ours. This happened to me at 3:30 pm today and I still cant believe the racist beings I am sorrounded by. I have always heard racism was everywhere but I still have a problem with living around it. I am to poor to pack it up and run and to aggravated to tell these unenlightened people how I feel. I have been shown by too many people how they are so out of touch with what they call Christianity because if they were half way conscious of other people they would not make the remarks they do. Feeling pissed!
