The earlier deputy governors and their sympatisers realized the truth, the better. The office of deputy governor (dg) has no political or constitutional life, it derives life from the office of governor. Hence, the relationship between governor and deputy is a master-servant relationship. Deputy governors must be loyal to the governor to the point of death, any disloyalty from any dg must attract sactions. Remember, dg are not voted for, so they do not have any mandate, it is the governors that have the peoples mandate. No deputy governor has a moral right to habour any political ambition that runs contrary to the interest of his principal, except , parharps, he resigns from his office. People who hope to lunch a vibrant political carrer thru the office of deputy governor, should think twice. Whenever there is a conflict between governor and deputy, we are hasty to conclude that the governor is witch-hunting his deputy, without looking at the possibility of the deputy, nursing an inordinate ambition to unseat or kill the governor so as to take his office. Our media should shun sentiments, emitions and mediocrity when reporting issues. Shed no tears for Oyenbuchi Sunday, because in my own opinion, he is a victim of disloyalty to his master.
