The eleventh book I read this year for the Worlds Without End - TopicsExpress

The eleventh book I read this year for the Worlds Without End Masterworks Reading Challenge was The Land of Laughs, by Jonathan Carroll. It was okay in my opinion, but Ive gotta say, something about it made me think of friends (mainly Monte) who would love it more than me the whole time I was reading it. A would-be writer sets out to find out about his favorite author, and possibly write a biography on him. Part of the authors appeal is that hes always been a bit of a mystery, and when he gets to the authors hometown, the mystery continues. The town is friendly, but strange. Old fashioned. And some similarities to the authors books are obvious. Soon, the would-be writer starts to wonder if the town inspired the books, or did the books in fact come to life? It started and ended strong, and I gave it four out of five stars.
