The first of my recent Pixie-based comic purchases, Wolverine and - TopicsExpress

The first of my recent Pixie-based comic purchases, Wolverine and the X-Men #42. Basic premise of the issue is that some of the students of the Jean Grey Academy are graduating, and it jumps between this and the future (or rather a possible future given its the Marvel U and no future is certain). Why is it Pixie important? Well as said its a graduation issue and so in it Pixie finally graduates from being a student (took her long enough). Also interesting to note is that they not only say shes graduated but shes also an officially active X-Man. Now hopefully this means shell at least appear more frequently in X-titles, if not a permanent spot on a back. Although it does also come with some annoyance since it reminds me that she was an official and active X-Man only to be suddenly back to student with rarely any on-panel time without any warning or explanation. Given I havent read WatX before this (aside from the Battle of the Atom tie-ins) it was a good issue (though Im wary of anything that shows the future since its almost inevitably never going to come to pass). But despite only a two-page appearance this was a major moment in Pixies history (fitting timing given shell have existed for ten years come November) and hopefully between this and her major role in the Inhuamity tie-in Awakening it means theres big things on the horizon for Megan Gwynn.
