Governor Babatunde Fashola stated this during an inspection tour of the completed terminals for the first phase, running from the National Theatre to Mile 2. Promises fulfilled The light rail project and 10-lane expressway are among the major campaigns promises to residents living along the western corridor of Lagos state by the governor, during his second term bid. The expansion of the Lagos-Badagry expressway to a 10-lane, is a project designed to confer a mega city status to the Nigerian commercial capital.Similarly, the route is a major highway linking Nigeria and the rest of its West African neighbours.
