The first step in fixing what is wrong with this country is to identify what it is that is wrong. No matter how you look at it, there is no denying that something is inexplicably wrong. I, personally, have no clue what it is. But I have a rather large hunch that it is something to do with the fact that everywhere I go, I am seeing a massive amount of selfishness and apathy. It seems to me that hardly anyone in America gives a shit about anyone but themselves any more. Sure, our nation was founded on the ability to do what you want, but when doing what you want ruins the ability of others doing what they want to do (and I only mean large groups of people), you need to cool your jets and cut that shit out. Face it, the needs of the whole come before the needs of the individual. And that may be the most important lesson that the military has ever taught me.
