The impending arrival of warm summer nights means more late nights outdoors for many of us. Depending on where you are, you might get a chance to sit back and take in a view of the stars from your backyard. Some may have to head to your local planetarium to explore whats in that great big sky. As seriously as we take film as a tool for teaching empathy, that extends to a broader sense of inquisitiveness. Film is a remarkably powerful tool for helping us to imagine not only lives but also worlds outside of ourselves. This week, we are celebrating that with a series of questions exploring the portrayal of space in film.
