The into music and RL commercial always takes me to that hospital stay of 40 days with Thelma the Mama. I had never seen Downton Abbey so I ordered four seasons. It came in a few days after she was admitted and diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I had the laptop and at night when all was quiet I put on headphones and began my trek to this amazing make believe place. I could weep and if I got caught with tears streaming I could smile and say, Watching Downton Abbey. If my mom awakened she would reply with, Well why are you watching it? I also learned when you are watching your mothers life rapidly decline before you that if your not watching Downton Abbey you can get two dry washcloths one across your mouth and the other across your eyes and you can weep almost in silence. I f you get caught by the one you are weeping for you just explain its ginning season. I never told her she was terminal. She had four to six weeks and she had a pretty much a lovely time until the last week. Yes music does stir emotions
