The kids and I had a wonderful time on our weekly hike/bike/scooter through Celery Flats. Katie caught toad tadpoles, green frogs, and a garter snake, while Sean gave herpetology lessons at the pond. We saw a woodcock with her two fuzzy chicks, a doe crossed the path five feet in front of the kids, and there were butterflies everywhere. Last week orioles and rose-breasted grosbeaks were out in droves, but they seem to have moved on for now.
