The killing of these two cops will deter good people from becoming a cop and will attract more bullies, bad quality individuals. Works like Darwins evolution theory, we are changing the quality of individuals joining the force in a necessary institution accusing every police because a few bad ones, the result will be that more bad cops will join the force. We dont put down all teachers because there are a few pedophiles ones. Everyday theres in the news a pedophile teacher being caught. Now, this incident will add to the heavy stress of the cop jobs the stress of worrying about their safety of groups that are propagating cops killing and as a result their performance will be impacted in a way that isnt good for us. People always stereotyped cops as pigs, sure its a profession that we grow to hate, because we dont like to get tickets, because their body language, that changes because they need to be alert, because they need to deal with the scum of the earth laughing at them because they know that they will out in the street in just a few hours after the crime they committed once more. Because, we care of the criminals, social pressure, such as their family, where they grew up, their bad role models and all scripts that we heard so many times. But as soon as we talk about the stress that the police go through we dismissed it by saying he/she choose the job, he/her gets paid for doing that job. Do they really pay them enough for that job? Sorry, perhaps what i saying isnt clear, im sad, worry, angry, concern. I do have two grandkids of mix colors, that are precious to me and i feel so shameful leaving behind such a mess, so much hate. And all i can do is pleading for calm that for personal experience isnt about color, its about years of conditioning to violence, power, ethnocentrism, ignorance to all our ancestors left us. More than ever we need to pause, think and utilize everything in our means EXCEPT VIOLENCE/FORCE to solve this issue.
