TWO CHANCES FOR A FINAL DECISION ? I couldnt find anywhere in the Urantia Book that we are given two chances to make a final decision. There is provision, however, for those who havent had one chance to make a decision and for those who have faith-grasped but lost their minds. Its my understanding, from reading the UB, that Mansonia 1 deficiency repair are for those who had faith-grasped and were seeking God. However, the UB does say we can make a decision not to continue with the ascension plan, after having been accepted to Mansonia, while we are on the Mansion Worlds before fusion. There is also the matter of faith. Faith is knowing & believing without seeing. How can we experience faith if we are on Mansonia and can see everything before us ? Do we need faith on Mansonia when we can obviously recognize and communicate with our own Thought Adjuster ? On Mansonia, doesnt it seem that everything just defaults back to only needing belief, knowledge, & understanding ( i.e. all the needed schooling) Faith, it seems. is what we need in order to get there & to build a soul transport vehicle while in the flesh. But do we necessarily need faith to stay and progress in Mansonia ? For example, Lucifers problem seemed to have had nothing to do with his faith. It had to do with his belief in the existance of a Paradise Father. Without his belief in the existance of a Paradise Father, it contributed to his no longer aligning his will with our Fathers will but only with his own self-Will and the false self-liberty that he proclaimed. Thereby rebelling against Michaels rule. His was a mortal and unforgiving sin showing us that our beliefs and errors in thinking can have dire future consequences. The wages of sin and error. The surety of a souls death. Just reading and studying the UB doesnt seem to be enough in order for us to get to Mansonia, because Jesus said, ...knowledge will not suffice IF THEY [We] FAIL PERSONALLY TO FAITH-GRASP the SAVING truth ... (UB 193:0.4) Moral evaluation with a religious meaning -spiritual insight- connotes the individuals choice between good and evil, truth and error, material and spiritual, human and divine, time and eternity. Human SURVIVAL IS IN GREAT MEASURE DEPENDENT ON CONSECRATING THE HUMAN WILL to the choosing of those values selected by this spirit-value sorter-the indwelling interpreter and unifier.[our Thought Adjuster] Personal religious experience consists in two phases: discovery in the human mind and revelation by the indwelling divine spirit. Through over-sophistication or as a result of the irreligious conduct of professed religionists, A MAN, or even a generation of men, may elect to suspend their efforts to discover the God who indwells them; they may FAIL TO PROGRESS IN [no survival (Salvation)] AND ATTAIN THE DIVINE REVELATION [the Faith-Grasp]. But such attitudes of spiritual non-progression cannot long persist because of the presence and influence of the indwelling Thought Adjusters. 196:3.17 So what is the Faith-Grasp ? It seems to me that a FAITH-GRASP = 1. ENTRANCE upon the seventh (Psychic) circle. The beginning of TRUE HUMAN personality function. Allowing the ministry from the Spirits of Wisdom & Worship to be activated in our minds. No longer living the life of an animal. (UB 110:6.1) 2. Salvation, the ability to have a life after physical death. (UB 193:0.4) 3. ESTABLISHING a potential personality transfer. (UB 112:2.20) 4. The UNIFICATION of the two essential concepts of Deity. (UB 5:5.6) 5. DISCERNMENT of the eternal God. The recognition of the Infinite by the finite. (UB 1:4.7) 6. ENTERING INTO the fellowship worship of Diety. (UB 16:8.18) 7. A REALIZATION. The Miracle of Divine Revelation. (UB 196:3.17) 8. BECOMING a Faith Son or Daughter. (UB 40:6.1) 8. BEING BORN AGAIN. ...survival IS DEPENDENT on your having been previously born of the spirit of truth-seeking and God-finding. The bread of life and the water thereof are given ONLY TO THOSE who hunger for truth and thirst for righteousness — for God. (UB 193:2.2 & John 3:3) Slowly the apostles and many of the disciples were learning the meaning of Jesus’ early declaration: “Unless you are born again, born of the spirit, YOU CANNOT ENTER the kingdom of God.” (UB 166:3.7) Does it make any sense that we could enter the Kingdom of God and then make another final decision ? ...Said Jesus: “Though human beings differ in many ways, the one from another, before God and in the spiritual world, all mortals stand on an equal footing. There are only two groups of mortals in the eyes of God: those who desire to do his will and those who do not. ... (UB 133:0.3) Which of those two groups is more likely to survive and be accepted into Mansonia ? If one can be self-willed and still go to Mansonia, whats the point of having a life in the flesh ? SPIRITUALITY becomes at once THE INDICATOR of one’s nearness to God and THE MEASURE of one’s usefulness to fellow beings. Spirituality enhances the ability to discover beauty in things, recognize truth in meanings, and discover goodness in values. SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT IS DETERMINED by capacity therefore and IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE ELIMINATION OF THE SELFISH QUALITIES OF LOVE. (UB 100:2.4) How self-Willed and selfish are we ? Do we care ? If we care for Salvation, sincerely want it to make the effort to survive for a life after death on Mansonia, shouldnt we meditate, pray and form a committed partnership with our indwelling Spirit ? Doesnt it seem that IN GOD WE SHOULD TRUST ? TRUST ALL MATTERS of mind beyond the dead level of consciousness to the custody of the Adjusters. In due time, if not in this world then on the mansion worlds, they will give good account of their stewardship, and eventually will they bring forth those meanings and values intrusted to their care and keeping. They will resurrect every worthy treasure of the mortal mind IF YOU SURVIVE. (UB 110:4.4) Will our adjuster be there for us on Mansonia or will it just move on to someone else with all of our memories, having gained more experience and increasing its own status among its fellows and before our Father ? Should we remember that from the age of about 5 we become Sons of our Father because our TA is a Son (fragment) of our Father ? That its our only hope for an eternal life ? Or should we just throw our lives away complying with the Lucifer Manifesto ? Mind is the cosmic instrument on which the human will can play the discords of destruction, or upon which this same human will can bring forth the exquisite melodies of God identification and consequent eternal survival. The Adjuster bestowed upon man is, in the last analysis, impervious to evil and incapable of sin, but mortal MIND CAN ACTUALLY BE TWISTED, DISTORTED, AND RENDERED EVIL AND UGLY by the sinful machinations of a perverse and SELF-SEEKING HUMAN WILL. Likewise can this MIND [can] BE MAD NOBLE, BEAUTIFUL, TRUE, AND GOOD — actually great — in accordance WITH THE SPIRIT-ILLUMINATED WILL of a God-knowing human being.(UB 111:1.6) [The choice is ours.] Evolutionary MIND IS ONLY FULLY STABLE AND DEPENDABLE when manifesting itself upon the two extremes of cosmic intellectuality — the wholly mechanized and the entirely spiritualized. Between the intellectual extremes of pure mechanical control and true spirit nature there intervenes that enormous group of evolving and ascending minds whose STABILITY AND TRANQUILITY ARE DEPENDENT UPON PERSONALITY CHOICE AND SPIRIT IDENTIFICATION.(UB 111:1.7) But man does not passively, slavishly, surrender his will to the Adjuster. Rather does he ACTIVELY, POSITIVELY, AND CO-OPERATIVELY CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE ADJUSTERS LEADING leading when and as such leading consciously differs from the desires and impulses of the natural mortal mind. The Adjusters manipulate but never dominate man’s mind against his will; to the Adjusters the human will is supreme. And they so regard and respect it while they strive to achieve the spiritual goals of thought adjustment and character transformation in the almost limitless arena of the evolving human intellect.(UB 111:1.8) Mind is your ship, the Adjuster is your pilot, the human will is captain. The master of the mortal vessel should have THE WISDOM TO TRUST the divine pilot to guide the ascending soul into the MORONTIA HARBORS of eternal survival. Only by SELFISHNESS, SLOTHFULNESS, AND SINFULNESS can the will of man REJECT THE GUIDANCE of such a loving pilot and EVENTUALLY WRECK THE MORTAL CAREER upon the evil shoals of rejected mercy and upon the rocks of embraced sin. With your consent, this faithful pilot will safely carry you across the barriers of time and the handicaps of space to the very source of the divine mind and on beyond, even to the Paradise Father of Adjusters.(UB 111:1.9) Do we want to throw our life away ?
