The last day of the season (for me anyway) turned out better than hoped for--I took my little (small forward-sized) brother up to FS300 for his first shrooming trip, and ended up filling the cooler plus a spare basket. We hit a nice flush of absolutely PRIME oysters, just coming out and very clean/bug-free, at 3-4 spots, found chanterelles scattered at several localities, with the most (a pound or two) in a very un-chanterelle-like spot (pic with car looking S towards the Rim), one of the large Pleurotus (former Panus?) that Chris reported recently, Caesars, a few Leccinum subalpinum, corals, Russula claroflava, Suillus (fresh) and other odds & ends. The area east of 87 seemed FAR better than that west of 260, and most places were very moist (running water in the ditches along the road several places!). The density was about a 3 out of 10, but with some searching there was a nice haul...
