The last few months have been non-stop, hectic, filled with a load of learning, speaking events and book signings. I felt tired, but also guilty about all the work piling up around me. No matter how much I did, the pile just seemed to get higher. On top of that, I received some very disappointing news and it knocked me for a loop. Last evening, I spent in quiet. There was no sound in our entire neighborhood, even with windows open for the warm weather. No TV, no dogs barking, nothing but serenity. I could feel the peace penetrating every cell in my brain and body. I just sat there and drank it in and was refreshed.
