The main reason there are militant groups (Qaeda, ISIS, etc) in the Muslim world is NOT Americas foreign policies but the rise of the post-colonial despotic regimes. Case in point: Egypt. Mubarak was Mother Teresa compared to Sisi but he gave us someone like Zawahiri. Yet naive people in and outside Egypt think Sisis coup was a good idea!! Think of a hypothetical American parallel: what would happen if GOP was declared to be a terrorist organization by the US government? Millions of conservatives would suddenly raise the white flag and support the new system? MB overreached but the present alternative is in no-ones interest.
