The man walked into the dimly lit room with caution. Brynjolfr hated to be meeting in such a public place, however it was urgent and so caution wasnt a luxury he could afford. The taverns basement was dank and smelled of stale mold and ale. The atmosphere was something he had grown used from to all these years on the run. Across the room three men stood in shadows, lit only by a single candle that only intensified the darkness surrounding them. “I assume you have all heard of the threat against the Prince?” He said to no one in particular. “This isnt our concern as we do not know his allegiances” Though he could not see his face the man was know to Brynjolf as they had fought together and he counted his as a friend. “Evil should always be our concern Reaper. Besides Jonius has illuminated to me the threat comes from the followers of Naydina.” He set his jaw at the mention of her name. The thought of the dark goddess made his chest tighten. One of the others steps forward, his face still in shadows however the phoenix upon his cloak became illuminated by the candle light. “They have hunted us to near extinction! How are we to combat their numbers?” Brynjolf set his gaze upon the man. Knowing what he was to ask caused him unease, however he gathered courage from the light within. “I understand what Im asking is not without risk. However I am not seeking outright war with the Church. We must work in the shadows until the Light of Day. The dawn is approaching, Jonius has shown it to me.” Stepping forward at the sound of the name of the Lightbringer he addressed his longtime friends. “We must act! Doing nothing is no longer an option. As we speak messengers are on their way to our allies. Im seeking your help and the help of anyone wishing to no longer live in darkness. Find me at the Feast of Thousand Stars if you wish to join my cause. There is where the Order of the Dawnguard will meet and cleanse the land of the followers of Naydina.”
