The media strikes again. Three feet of snow in NYC, not exactly - just 5 inches. Three feet of snow on Long Island, not so much - just a foot. I caught a little bit of the live coverage last night and the disappointment was palpable. The media has been repeatedly cheated out of a good hurricane disaster, so this was going to be their ticket. Unfortunately for them, Mother Nature didnt cooperate. Because of all the hype a lot of flights were cancelled yesterday, before the storm even arrived. They were already trying to walk back their predictions by saying that, Predicting snowfall is the most difficult thing in meteorology., and the storm is changing. Well, a few hours (and most of the day) before they were predicting this could be the worst blizzard ever, and there was no doubt this was going to be epic - nothing about it being the hardest thing to predict. While they have a duty to informs us of POTENTIAL events like this, they need to do it in a responsible, and reasonable fashion. Unfortunately, ratings trump everything.
