The more I think about the idea of No Refusal enforcement going on this New Years Eve....the more mad I get. Is drinking and driving bad???....yes!!!! Is forcibly drawing a law abiding citizens blood because they are simply suspected for DUI ok???....HELL NO. These types of law enforcement are statically proven time and time again to be very innevective at preventing crime. Last year less than 1/3rd of 1% of individuals stopped at DUI checkpoints were arrested for DUI. 33 people in 10,000. Its so sad to see those rights that the Beastie Boys fault so hard for being trampled. My issue here isnt necessarily with LEOs....its with the law/policy makers who are allowing this crap. Only issue I have with the LEOS is their willingness to participate in these types of search and seizures.
