The news about the little boy taken from Southampton is a joke! There is nothing wrong with a parent doing what they feel is best for their child. charlie spent the first few months of his life on the same ward. We were told that he would need a major operation, that essentially could of killed him, and had we not taken that option, chemotherapy would be the only other option, which in such a small child could also kill him. Thankfully he was ok and is now living a healthy life, but when given those options, in your head all you want to do is run away. Whatever treatment and however different the situation as a parent, all you want to do is run! Take your child and leave. The fact that theyve taken him to get treatment and not just run makes it all the more ridiculous that they are being tracked down and arrested! As grateful as I am and I will be forever in their debt for saving his life, you are made to feel very pressured by them. As much as you want your child to be fit and healthy again, you also want to feel that you can make a decision that is best for your child. Im sure any parent in the same situation would feel like doing the same.
