The other day I applied for an actual job that wasnt to promote myself, I know I know before you start đ haha. The job was working with under privileged kids whod been having a hard time at home etc... I thought I would be good at it because Id be able to relate, offer them advice and try to steer them in the right direction. However, even though they said I would be perfect for the position, I didnt get the job. Originally I thought it would be my criminal record that would hold me back from anything like that, but that wasnt the issue in this case, it was because my profile on social media was just too much. I understood it, and I cant lie if the parents/guardians were to look me up, it wouldnt look great at first glance without actually knowing me and what Im about. It gave me a right lump in my throat when I got the call, it would definitely be something Id like to do in the future, I think Id have a lot to give, just goes to show that everything you do in life has consequences.
