The other day I had posted I was feeling pretty down. And I was. We had just discovered Keelys swollen lymph nodes and Toffee was struggling and part of me just was feeling frustrated with the chronic unfairness of shelter involvement and rescue. Ralfs passing was still lingering with me and sometimes I get a little overwhelmed with my own emotion. This morning I got up early so I could set the trap for Barnaby who is still wandering about behind the barn somewhere and I was thinking about the first time I met each of these 4 sweet souls. I remember Jones scared in his kennel but how quickly he would get all wiggly to get some time out. He was still scared of everything but he did love his free time. He often would sit way in the back....unsure until he saw someone he figured was a friend. He bit me during his shots.
