The other night, Ava (almost 3 years old) was trying to tell me something and I just couldnt understand what she was saying. After the 5th time of asking her to repeat herself, she looked visibly confused and frustrated at her inability to communicate. In her sweet, southern drawl, she looked at me, started pointing to her mouth and said in a slow pronounced voice, Do you not hear the words coming out of my mouth? At that point I sat down on the stairs to laugh, she came over to me and said, Let me fix you. To which she pulled back the hair from my ear and very clearly spoke right into my ear saying, The chairs are heavy.
