The point of an Opposition is to OPPOSE #auspol #ausvotes In compiling my research on the new security laws I was angry that Labor supported this. I am angry they rubber stamped action in Iraq. I am angry that Bill Shorten said I stand proudly shoulder to shoulder with the Prime Minister on this. There is far too much me too. Far, far too much of this government getting away with murder. In a democracy you need a viable, vocal opposition to provide a political alternative. Sadly we dont have it. Do NOT be complacent with the polls. Labor needs to return to the left of centre and get back to Ben Chifley era policies and ideals. Loyal to the Party but NOT to its current position. Oppose whilst remaining loyal to true Labor values. Do not oppose for oppositions sake. Oppose those values that arent our own. Philip
