WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS DEFENSE? LaPorte police tells us Daniel Schoffner told officers he was doing knife moves and accidentally stabbed Birdie Elder in the neck. Then when police questioned him more, he revealed he also stabbed her in the chest and hand. Schoffner told police he put her in the freezer to keep her cool and he thought she had been in the freezer for 3 or 4 days.
